MUSIC BOX (1989) Constantin Costa-Gavras

Once her father has been acquitted from war crimes during the Nazi period, Anne Talbot watches through the window how he teaches his grandson how to ride a horse. She has learned to suspect from her father knowing there are more mysteries than truth, and that she has lived believing her father was another person, far from what she has experienced throughout the case, and so now she can't help but call her son in dispair, wanting to have him as far as she can from the "beast". After a slow but well told film, this scene shocks for the implications it has: how are the children of today learning from the dubious moral people of yesterday.
